This is unexpected. Usually when I think of the Market-Frankford EL, I think of a crackhead walking around with his pants around his ankles, people yelling into their cell phones, and kids trying to start fights with each other. I would never equate SEPTA with anything that would resemble class, festivity, or cheerfulness.
Therefore, it was quite the surprise when longtime LOLadelphia reader cindiesel submitted this picture of the EL decorated for the holidays. I don’t get it, and it’s certainly unexpected, but that’s okay. It looks good and it might make people on the EL a little less miserable. I’m all for this!
